Somali : Hadday degdegsiinyo door dhalaan, kaadsiinyana kiish lacagay dhalaan
Translation : Haste can give birth to a bit of money ( a small benefit), patience to a bag of it.

Patience , exactly what I need and lack ninety percent of my decision making moments. I tend to be very strong about my stand which usually results in me making hasty decisions .Ass-uming for the most part , my lines are already drawn before there is even a problem.

I feel like I am always rushing , on the go. All the time. Why?. I don’t have any children.

This image reminds me of the below proverb. It’s one of the many great Somali proverbs about unity….. Ironic. I know. Enjoy!

“Gacmo wadajir bay wax ku gooyaan.”
Translation : “One can tear something only with two hands.” #SomaliProver

To remind myself first…

Sura Ad-Duha contains all that is the hardest yet the most crucial of things to remember:
1. Allah has neither forsaken nor forgotten you
2. The hereafter is better for you than this life
3.Allah will give you all that it is that you want/desire thats good
4.Allah found you unaware of his deen and guided you
5.You were poor and he gave you self-sufficiency/contentment
6. In that case don’t treat the poor/beggars with oppression/revulsion
7. And report the favor of your Lord

Mashaa Allah.

“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort justice or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.”
(The Holy Quran, Chapter 4. “The Women”, verse 135).
